| We are having a busy summer. Our remarkable Summer Youth Employment Program continues to place teens in their first real workplace experience. We are running Day Camps at 7 sites: Palmaro Clubhouse, 2 housing projects, 2 public schools, and 2 homeless. Camp Sebago in Harriman State Park is being extensively utilized for Day Trips (although staff-intensive overnight camping this year is a victim of cost cutting). K-Company is having an active summer, entertaining appreciative audiences throughout the region. Our flagship Palmaro Clubhouse remains open to all (albeit with reduced hours). Youngsters can learn to swim, learn computer skills, or perhaps just look for friends in a stimulating supervised environment. And our newest service venue, the Frederic R. & Margaret Coudert Clubhouse, has enrolled its very first club members for the summer of 2010. |
